Here’s why Biden is toast: in this situation, any candidate in Biden’s shoes would do a series of events (interviews, press conferences, town halls, etc) to prove they are up to the task.
But, Biden isn’t doing that because he can’t. He’s not capable—and that’s not going to change.
His advisors have not done him any favors since the debate (and in prep for debate!). And despite the campaign speech, SCOTUS televised statement and taped interview this week, the press and pundits have clearly picked the narrative they want to beat for near future. That much is at least obvious.
Wake up Max; he has a country to run; Google "Biden's schedule" (no room for it all here). You have no clue!
* NC - last Friday
* SCOTUS decision - yesterday
* Medal of Honor Ceremony - today
* Meeting with Dem Gov's - today
* Campaign reception(s) - multiple days
* interview with ABC - Friday
not just to prove his cognitive robustness.
to CHANGE THE FREAKIN SUBJECT.
If Trump had a bad debate (ahem, that the press recognized as bad) he would have done three press conferences by now, spinning ten different new narratives to dominate front pages for the next week.
Well, he also does have a long long track record being a public servant, and is already well known, so he's probably banking on that (not that he should...)
Respectfully, Biden is not only ‘up to the task’ of president, he is literally doing the job right now — both well and better than Trump ever did or could. Claiming he can’t prove he’s up to the task when he’s literally been proving just that since 2021 and right now is disingenuous.
The President's schedule is public record. The events are there. Public remarks, fund raisers, impromptu Waffle House stops, a major interview coming up Friday etc.
Except he has done multiple events and interviews. The media is ignoring it and just repeating the same “he’s old” article nonstop. He’s fucking been the president for over 3 years… I mean that’s the ultimate test.
He was in NC the next day, and by all accounts did far better than just a few hours earlier...but hardly any outlet covered it as more than a footnote to the bigger story other than local media here in Raleigh.
