And of course there are exceptions to just about every rule, and not all surgeries carry the same risks. It's a bad idea to make a blanket statement that any surgery done for gender affirming reasons should not happen until the age of maturity, but surgery is not a common intervention for minors

Hi, I'm a trans person and I want to say that gender affirming surgery for minors is exceptionally rare, PARTIALLY FOR MEDICAL REASONS! The youngest I know of was 16, so this isn't as big or contentious as people are making it out to be. Puberty blockers are front line care for trans minors.

Laws are rules imposed by figures who seek to control you and your interactions with yourself, others, and society. Anyone who claims to seek the absolution of laws while simultaneously enforcing rules and structures on those around them is, by definition, power seeking.

Just saw the video of cops tasing one of the kids at the Emory protest. He’s Black, on the ground w/ multiple cops restraining him and they tased him. We should be so much madder about all this. I am so angry we lied and told these kids education and college campuses would protect them.

TIL learned a fun fact the vast, vast majority of microplastics aren't actually from breaking down single-use plastics like I thought, but from car tires. Car tires, simply by being worn down while driving, emit more microplastics than anything by far
