It’s over unless Joe Biden drops out. He is a great president, but he’s handing democracy to an authoritarian if he stays.

The Biden Campaign has called an audible straight from the Trump playbook. Biden’s debate performance wasn’t that bad; what we saw with our own eyes never happened. It’s the Democratic“bed-wetting brigade” and media blowing it out of proportion.

SCOTUS has declared that Trump is King. After Biden’s disastrous debate performance, it seems that only a Hamburger from Heaven can save us from the fall of American democracy.

In recent rulings, the Supreme Court added obstacles to the government’s ability to regulate air pollution, water pollution and the greenhouse gases that are heating Earth. The decisions could empower conservative judges throughout the country to block even more environmental regulations.

The Supreme Court’s ruling putting presidents above the law must be understood not simply as a grant of immunity for past crimes, but an enthusiastic endorsement of those he will commit if given the chance. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

Serafina’s been struggling with the loss of her step-brother, Prospero, last month, so we’re practicing TLC by taking her to some of her favourite places. Yesterday, we went to Conrad’s Beach, where I hoped we’d meet some other puppies. But it was foggy and we had the place to ourselves.

The judge who oversaw the #TRUMP trial is HERO. Not because he withstood a daily assault from a powerful former president and returned nothing but kindness. But because everyone who appears in his courtroom is treated with kindness and respect. Great story in The Daily Beast.

The main thing to understand about abortion ban exceptions do not exist. They are ornamental. They’re like plastic fruit. They are not meant to be used, they’re just there to make the ban look reasonable. bsky.app/profile/jbou...

Lamppost EV chargers are the answer to how you charge your vehicle in cities. This is possible because when energy intensive street lamps were replaced by LEDs, there’s excess power for charging EVs. All cities should do this. ⚡️ h/t Robert Llewllyn

I go to Cdn Tire & Sobeys on occasion and their prices seem higher than Loblaws. But I only spend a few dollars each month at Loblaws, so I can’t say with any authority. I buy from local stores, at the Halifax Farm Market, and I’ve purchased a farm share. I’ve always tried to buy locally.

Trump mocks Biden’s stutter. “More than Trump’s ugly taunt, one thing stands out to me… [is] the sound of Trump’s supporters laughing right along with him. This is a building block of Trumpism. The man at the top gives his followers permission to be the worst version of themselves.” The Atlantic.
