It was all about your insults instead of being any good at fighting. If your opponent said "you fight like a dairy maid!" the winning move was to say "how appropriate. You fight like a cow." And so on. It was *very* amusing in an early 90s way

My paternal granddad, who died long before I was born, spent time in Dartmoor prison for reasons that my dad never really elaborated on, beyond confirming that his mother was a proud recipient of a pension from the 'ra. Barely a generation old, this place.
