Because people seem to not understand how "AI" uses so much water, here's a quick+dirty breakdown: The more data centers you have & the more traditional power you use, the more water you 1a) use To cool & 1b) lose, because they arent perfectly sealed systems, & 2) will need to boil to run turbines.

I should add, however, that I have also worked with a great many wonderful, conscientious post producers and show runners who are damn fine people I have been blessed to know. If that were not so, I would have left the profession a long time ago.

I majored in journalism for a moment, and I am so stoked I decided not to make it my future. The craft I studied was not what currently passes for it, and even then, it was embracing its yellow side more than I was comfortable with and enough to make me decide it wasn't the path for me.

I work in reality tv. While I enjoy some aspects of my job, reality tv has been a huge contributor – imo – to the decline of society. It provides way too much validation to far too many truly horrendous people.

Good reporting on an entirely predictable problem. Fun fact: Airbnb also covers up thousands of sexual assaults every year! Its internal safety team has "cool-down rooms" to take a break from the trauma of what they hear. It's a bad company, a bad industry, and people should just stay in hotels.

Specturm Internet is down all over Texas. Spectrum does a LOT of businesses. Like where I work. Who has a front door that has an IoT lock that is now not able to work. Fortunately, we found the person that has the physical key.
