SCOTUS rulings and the ineffectual Biden/Democratic response are just depressing. I hate Biden and his anti-immigrant/pro-genocide policies, but now I'm voting for that ticket because that's the least I can do and it's considerably better than Trump. Will try to log off for a few days.

I’m just so pleased that the court decided homeless people can be arrested for existing, the government cannot govern, and the president cannot be prosecuted for committing crimes, all in the same week. Blitzkrieg doesn’t begin to cover what has happened to the rule of law.

The Circuit Court ruled that Trump is not immune from persecution in Feb 2024. SCOTUS could have just declined to touch that. Instead they waited five months to say "Trump is immune on some things, not others, y'all should figure out which," and it's very clear what they're doing
