The worst part is that anyone who has done even a little bit of research on mushroom identification knows there are MANY mushrooms you can’t reliably identify by sight. Need to examine: Gill type/shape Spore color Stipe features (possibly internal) Pellicle consistency Smell Bruising Etc!

OMG, this is literally Amanita bisporigera, the "Eastern Destroying Angel." Highly toxic and can be fatal. Onset of symptoms is gradual (6 - 24 hours), which can lead to a false sense of security after eating it. After 6 - 9 hrs of symptoms there's a lag period of 24 hrs of NO SYMPTOMS...
