The Tories embraced Farage in 2016. They then spent the next 8yrs being populists. And everything is now broken. If you embrace Farage, you don’t win or succeed or help anyone. You just collapse into angry nastiness, shouting at boats and failing everyone. We’re done with that.
Well hopefully they will, and will fall apart in the process. Too many UK'ers see Farage as what he is, which is why he has failed *every single time* he has tried to become an MP.
The Greens have 100% more MP's that his egotrip 'parties' have. Count Caroline Lucas's airtime versus his.
Farage? Wasn't he the one who was all in for Brexit, but then disappeared immediately after winning so he wouldn't have to be the person to deal with the chaos he'd wrought?
Not surprised that Braverman was the one who said this - what else do you expect from a woman who called people protesting in support of Palestine such things as "mobs" and "hate marches".
Of course she wants the Tories to embrace Farage, another known xenophobe and racist.
I mean how many more *direkt* reductions to their quality of life do the brits need to realize that the Tories might not be able to lead a country, or even eat breakfast without ruining their shirt tbh.
Unlike Farage, Braverman doesn’t have the knack of reading the room. She ploughs on, bulldozing her ideology over whoever is listening. Farage is more canny, he’ll change his demeanour to suit his audience and make himself sound more ‘reasonable’ & relateable. No-one is about to ‘embrace’ Braverman
I suspect this headline will soon appear on #LibDem leaflets in Lib/Con marginals. Liberal/small c Conservative voters who held their noses & voted #Tory in 2019 (disliked Johnson & #Brexit but disliked Corbyn more) can't stand #Farage & his ilk.
