I have no idea the best path re Biden but I do know a solid week straight of โBiden Oldโ and โRich Dems Worriedโ above-the-fold stories are *obscene* in the face of SCOTUS using the Constitution to wipe their asses purely in the service of reinstating a felon rapist as president. Crazy-making shit.

Wiping fingerprints off the 9 with the Stars and Stripes before they use it to wrap the coffin. Been in this game since Betsy Ross sewed Franklin's sex swing - high capacity velour fuckhammock suitable for up to 13 patriots.

I'll skeet on her back and slap Old Glory over it. When she does the walk of shame she can give them something to salute.

All of the criticisms of Biden's mush brain are weird given that Trump also has a mush brain. Like, real rambling psycho mush brain.

Ageism is hiring a 25 year old instead of a better qualified 55 year old. It's not "ageism" to say that an 81 year old or a 78 year old might not be able to handle the world's most demanding job.

Relevant to that NYT piece that's going around...if your vote didn't still matter, they wouldn't be trying everything to convince you it was worthless.

Putin and Kim have absolute criminal immunity. Xi does not have criminal immunity and officially never has. Chinese officials enjoyed the unofficial expectation of criminal immunity until reforms in 2012, and in 2015 a high ranking party got a life sentence for corruption.

Scientists already know that abortion restrictions and bans increase the number of dead women, but a new study on Texas shows that it also increases the number of dead babies. So that's very cool, very pro-life ๐งช skepchick.org/2024/07/texa...

Either the Democrats will run Biden, or he'll say he can't continue the campaign and Democrats will run Harris. Either is newsworthy, but neither is nearly as radical as running a pro-insurrection convicted felon with legal immunity he's eager to use.

i think akhil amar reed captures something very important, which is that the roberts court rewrote article ii, which explicitly states that a president can be held criminally liable after impeachment (and which has long been understood to mean that he can be held liable after leaving office)

The claim that it will be bloodless is objectively false - he means "without combat." Their purpose is to shed blood - the blood of queer folks, pregnant people, infidels and racial / ethnic minorities. We should, thus, treat them with the attention that aspiration warrants.

Every day proves Thaddeus Stevens right: there should've been big Nuremberg-style public trials of leading Confederates, accompanied by seizures of the assets of all pro-Confederate large landowners and businessmen, which should then have been distributed to freed slaves as compensation.

She didn't "WARN" us - it was ALWAYS a fucking THREAT. "This is what you get if you don't elect me."
It was a GOOD threat. A STRONG threat. But it was a threat - always a threat of what she would and had already enabled.
