been having weird audio issues with a mac, turns out microsoft teams installed a driver that didn't get removed when I removed teams. Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL just in case someone is troubleshooting the same thing and looking here for answers for some reason.

We have had many of these with battery failures that rendered them inoperable. I would highly recommend a data backup if you don’t have one going already

My actual Linux advice for Windows refugees: Use Debian stable with KDE desktop and use flatpak via Discover to install software. You get stability plus regular software updates this way and the KDE look and feel is kind of like a cleaned up Windows 7, very easy to jump into.
