These decisions piss me off. I grew up and studied a lot of these books (not to mention I am actually related to Anne Frank so it hurts even more), and they are so important to history and literature and it's utterly baffling how these lunatics have this much power.
The Book burning to appease Project 2025 has been in full swing since before Desantis showed his fellow Christian Nationalist Governors how easy it is. If state Republicans win their state will follow suit. Project 2025 is far more just the presidency.
What confounds me is they pull all those books and yet allow the Bible in middle school and elementary schools or at least want to put them there. The Bible has many sections with topics that are inappropriate for children by these conservative groups’ standards. Incest, adultery, murder, rape,etc..
