I am at a place in my life where I have friends I would like to see and a job I really love doing!
I have also just had Covid!
5, 7, 10 days — It’s awesome that there is no consistent guideline on when I can actually return to seeing my friends and the job that I like!
Hopefully it won't be too long before you get better. Sorry if it seems to be taking longer than you thought it might, but it's entirely understandable that you might want to stay cautious.
I tested positive for 23 days I think it was. Just over three weeks. Doctor said there was 'very low risk' of passing it on past 14 days, I said that was grossly irresponsible and stayed isolated until tests were fully clear.
Same. Laying up recovering and researching online. I’m going with: 5 days isolation & at least 5 days of masking afterwards - and of course letting everyone at work know I’ve got the ick.
So happy to hear about you reaching this place in your life 😊 but so sorry the 'rona got to you ☹️ Not a doc, but I've kept up with the situation and have definitely not "given up" like everyone wants me to. I'd say seize the opportunity to rest up as much as you can. Your body will thank you later!
My best friends just got back from a trip to Texas to visit her newest nephew; I visited today and they are both down with COVID. They were going to host 4th of July for our friend group; it's such a bummer to have to change everything at the last minute!
I've only ever had v faint positives even when I had it confirmed by one of the scary ass proper haz chem suited NHS dudes in a drive thru test centre back in the early days (on my gd birthday, thanks covid). I'd honestly just say chill & go out when you're definitely neg. A faint line is a line
If you test negative and aren’t symptomatic, I think it is ok to see them esp if they have been vaccinated in recent years, but it’s summer, so why not outside?
I'd recommend the Scandinavian way: Do whatever your most local authority say. If they don't say anything, go to the next most local authority, until they say something. Ignore anything else you might see online.
