Wubbels is one of my personal heroes. I was ER psych for a few years and we ran into some situations like that, but the officers never threatened to arrest us. I only wish that the settlement had been a lot higher .

There's an easy fix for this behavior. Have the hospital inform the police that any injured officers brought in will be refused treatment and sent to another facility. This will continue until compliance is achieved.

Good on her. A credit to her profession. We had to do an ED rotation as internal medicine residents. I was a terrible emergency resident. Much too slow. (Or deliberate, if you are being nicer about it.) There were a few cases where I was useful though. One was cop car vs delivery truck...
