Stating this at face value, not at all as h8r noise: I *really* need to know how the Vernestra Rwoh of the novels came to be the Vernestra Rwoh of the TV series.

Trying something new today… pulling up the Best Contemporary Classical Music list Peter Margasak writes monthly for Bandcamp, and pressing the big "play" button (indicated here in red) *without* looking first to see what's in store. Let's be surprised and delighted, shall we? (Link in next skeet.)

Finished mixing my next album today, with the ever-talented Joseph Branciforte at the board. "Hemlocks; Peacocks" is coming out January 2025, and look for a few shows in the fall on the east coast and then headed toward the midwest in the wintertime. (What could go wrong?)

At a bare minimum, I want an explanation of how the joyous, inquisitive, and inventive fledgling Jedi Vernestra Rwoh of the High Republic novels became the stiff bureaucrat we met in 'The Acolyte,' who left me crestfallen.

Early days, but 'The Acolyte' (and some of the High Republic literary canon that came before it, storywise) seems to suggest it was the overabundance, militarization, and hubris of the Jedi that presented opportunity for a Sith-backed Empire to arise. I find that detail provocative, at least.
