The list of what constitutes as 'unacceptable' will grow longer and longer until everything is sanitised, and so often this censorship comes from the idea that queer NSFW content is impure or dirty. A problem to be removed. It is never as simple as ‘ew, NSFW’.

This relates directly to discourse mostly younger people constantly bring about "why do we still need pride/gay bars/gay sex shops/etc.?" We always need queer spaces, and always will, because acceptance of us is cyclical, and we can, and should, maintain control of our own spaces.

What this article leaves out is that if you hand your unlocked phone to a police officer, they can legally search it. Unless companies develop a method that allows you to show officers insurance cards and driver license without unlocking the rest of your phone, don't.

FRANCE UPDATE: The near-final list of candidates who are in the French runoffs is out. Two days ago, 311 districts were going to have 3-way or 4-way runoffs. Then, 200+ candidates dropped out to block far-right. So: There'll be "just" 91 such runoffs this coming Sunday.
