“Even the New York Times, which is usually better about this, talked about a very tiny shift that was totally insignificant statistically like it was evidence that it was a shift toward Trump after the debate,” Lazer says.

How many Trump Cabinet members/senior staff have called on the US to reject him? Hint: it's a much larger number than D officials vs. Biden and you'd think that putting that counter alongside this one would be the minimum of balance required of an ethical news venue.

Still marveling at Gorsuch's Ohio v. EPA opinion, in which he confused nitrogen oxide (a pollutant) with nitrous oxide (laughing gas). He did this five times, never once getting it right—in an opinion overruling the EPA's own expert scientific analysis! s3.documentcloud.org/documents/24...

The NYT Parkinson's "scoop" is even worse than it seems from the headline, bc buried in paragraph 11 the reporters *know* Dr. Connard met with someone other than Biden, and on March 28, 2024 the President's Public Schedule shows Biden was in NYC the whole day

We americans are also less engaged in politics. I don’t know if their media is undergoing the same issues of losing independent papers etc and how much Murdoch is there. They also have the history they all learn about the Nazis and Kings and I bet they all feel pretty strongly against them.

If you steal $1000, you can be sent to prison. When health insurance companies steal $50,000,000,000, they get tax breaks, subsidies and government contracts, while the people they steal from die or go into debt. But keep blaming immigrants and poor people for rising crime.

TBF, Bill Nye came to the aquiarium I worked as a speaker and he also was very unhappy and complaining about having to see people/kids and his handlers really had to coax and convince him to do it. This was early in that gig so it hadn’t taken off yet so the payoff may not have yet been obvious.

I guess if we think the backroom deals made with Pete and Kamala so they back out in order for Biden to defeat Bernie are the same (in other words, not- its all self-promoting), then its similar? I think normal republicans just didn’t vote- do you think a substantial number voted for Biden?

If for any reason Joe Biden can't complete a 2nd term, we know who will take over. Her name is Kamala Harris and America already voted for her once. If Donald Trump can't complete a 2nd term, we have no idea who will take over because he TRIED TO HAVE HIS LAST VP MURDERED.
