a good way to alleviate concerns about Bidens debate performance / age *and* concerns about court overreach would be for Team Biden to schedule a short TV speech on it and give a firebrand performance about what he intends to do about it just sayin

There is nothing he CAN do about it. OK, drop out of the race would be a good start. But the crazy wing of the Dem party would DEMAND Kamala in his place and she's no more likely to defeat Trump than a demented Biden. In short, we're screwed. And worst, we did it to ourselves. Again.

Yes, and yet…it won’t happen, and we know why. All these declined media opportunities the last 12-18 months, they looked oddly protective. Now we know staff was lying to us when they insisted “he’s fine, stop worrying.” They kept it quiet to prevent him being replaced, a la Feinstein.

Unfortunately that does not appear to be a viable option. We seem to be at a point where the campaign is (in my opinion correctly) unwilling to risk putting him on live TV but no one in the D establishment is willing to stick their neck out to state the obvious.
