I really cannot emphasize how catastrophically bad the Court's ruling was. I do my best not to exaggerate about these kinds of things but I am still kind of in shock
What's equally shocking is how giddy the media is about this. Absolutely ecstatic that they won't have to pretend to be journalists anymore, and can be judged solely by their fealty to the authoritarian regime.
Which one? I mean that, seriously. There were at least two awful decisions yesterday that will have major impact for some time. And several the week before.
There is absolutely no question where these stooges stand and anyone who tries to claim differently should be shoved in a barrel and rolled down a hill.
The amount of "What rules can we follow that they don't" and "what about a constitutional amendment they can ignore along with all the others" I am seeing is beyond maddening.

Didn’t the court just hand Biden nearly unlimited power to investigate and prosecute the justices themselves. Then use any method within the power of the presidency to win the next election. They spelled out which methods were ‘legal’.
Meanwhile, lots of people are still running their “Biden is old, send money to the Bulwarlk” stuff. The people who were gutted by this need to act like it.
Unconstrained power does not bother to justify itself well, or sometimes at all. In the 17th and 18th centuries the phrase was 'arbitrary and tyrannical', and it could be, and was, applied to monarchs. Robert Filmer would love this ruling, and that says a lot.
I think this is a big part of the story. How did people not see this coming. Not accusing but genuinely.
