I keep coming back to the passage of Washington's Farewell Address in which Roberts cloaked his bid for authoritarianism. Roberts took a passage warning against corruption, foreign influence, insurrection, and authoritarianism, & said, "sign me up!"

i think akhil amar reed captures something very important, which is that the roberts court rewrote article ii, which explicitly states that a president can be held criminally liable after impeachment (and which has long been understood to mean that he can be held liable after leaving office)

I don't reallynwant to boost the panic levels right now, but what reason do we have to believe that this Court won't throw out valid Democratic wins (and not just Biden, but in Senate or House elections) in order to protect what they've seized?
