While we're at it, Home Depot, AT&T, Comcast, Walmart, Hobby Lobby, and Chick-fil-A are all big donors to insurrectionists and/or hateful legislators. Alternatives: Lowe's, local stores, Credo mobile, thrift stores, local restaurants (I know sometimes there aren't good choices; we do what we can.)

Thinking about this today as our beaches are crowded with shrieking children and parents hold the hands of their little ones while crossing the street and people take turns holding babies at picnics, all under skies with nary a drone nor a warplane.

The new COVID variant seems to be evading immunity from vaccines and past infections. COVID cases are up 250% in NYC. Remember the more you get covid your risk for long covid increases significantly.

Americans mostly think that the rest of the world has immigration policies that are pretty similar to what they *think* US immigration policies are like: open to almost anyone, with special dispensation for refugees. We haven't been that country ... maybe ever, but we think we're the norm.

I'm reading Indigo currently and this essay is excellent (some spoilers if you haven't read the book)! "As scholars of the romance genre and its subgenres, therefore, we should challenge the narrowness of what is considered 'historical' romance but also whose 'history' is being inscribed ..." Yes!
