specifically I just have not seen sustained major media coverage of Project 2025 over the last month, or serious Biden campaign messaging (some but not that much). all the MSM is doing BIDEN OLD. yet it seems to be percolating in social media, group chats, emails, or whatever

every evening I take the boy for a walk around the block. local older, working class Black dude that I often run into on the route brought up Project 2025 on his own, seems like this thing really has legs messaging-wise

It cannot be stressed enough that adjusting the size of the Supreme Court in the 19th c. was a serious solution to serious concerns about how the Court functioned. As @earlymodjustice.bsky.social points out, reform often addressed imbalances. And these imbalances were often about REPRESENTATION. 1/

I gotta say the way Biden has bounced back in public appearances has really boosted the idea he's been burning the candle at both ends for a while & showed up at the debate wiped out.

SCOTUS essentially restructured American governance over the last couple of weeks. Even if you can get past the 8 million Biden old stories in the Times to the people whose job it is to cover the court, you would have no idea of the scale of the changes made.

The doctor whose White House visits triggered a flurry of questions on Monday visited far more often under Obama — and often visited recently when Biden wasn’t in town.

A lot of it has faded, to be sure. But this, by Jefferson--standing tall, inscribed in his memorial--speaks down through the ages, and inviting a nation that needs to hear it, to choose a better future for itself, unshackled by any laws or institutions that fail to move us forward to a better future

Seven times between 1801 and 1869 Congress changed the size of the court, going from a low of five justices in 1801 to a high of ten in 1863. In most of those cases, as in 1801 and 1863, the size went up and down in order to fix an imbalance or overreach by the Supreme Court. My latest

Interesting and in some cases surprising. I really have no idea what’s happening beyond my little neck of the woods, but my sense is that the debate + recent SCOTUS rulings have actually created MORE urgency among bluish voters despite lagging enthusiasm for Biden himself. Who knows

Yeah, I think I'm going to repeat this a bunch of times: It is incoherent to call for Biden to remain in office but not run. What you're saying is that *you* know that he's fine, but foolish voters won't. And anyone saying that is a fool.

I’ve been in a meeting with a number of men (and a handful of women) in suits, and while there has been intelligent discussion, my main impression is that Very Serious People are irrationally complacent about the consequences — economic and political — if Trump wins.

Truly reprehensible.

Excellent long, long thread. Basically, claims of a lab-leak origin for COVID-19 have not been supported by evidence, and it's been that way for several years. In the meantime, exhaustive work and peer-reviewed evidence all point toward a natural origin and the Huanan animal market as ground zero.

I strongly encourage people to read the entire 77-year-old article. It was written before the State of Israel was established. You’ll see that ethnic cleansing was always the plan and that the dehumanization of Palestinians is deeply rooted in the foundations of Zionism as a colonialist ideology:
