Despite the good intentions behind the messaging, I'm afraid it has more to do with preserving procedural norms than advancing social equity, and it views the latter as a side mission rather than an absolute necessity.

I've aggregated congressional districts drawn by good government groups (ex. Ohio), by nonpartisan commissions (ex. CA and MI), or as a result of pushback from good government groups (ex. NH). In 2020, Biden won 249 of them compared to Trump's 186. The median seat is in Dallas–Fort Worth. #FairMaps

My point is that many "all religions are bad" folks couldn't tell you a thing about any religion other then Christianity. They just assume all religions are the same, they are all like Christianity. Their Atheism is informed only by Christianity and so they are inadvertently Christian supremacists.

📢 1.87 is rolling out now (2/4) Sometimes a thread gets too heated. Now you can lock a thread retroactively so that only the people you specify (or nobody!) can reply. Also: muting a thread now works more reliably.

For those wondering how I embed hyperlinks in some posts: I use deck.blue on my desktop computer (SUPER EASY! See my quickie how-to video) and StackEdit.io to doublecheck my markdown before I post.

Esp useful for those who want to provide links to more info (book info, etc) without being spammy.

I'm looking up gaming laptops manufactured this year, and can't help but notice that all-AMD builds are getting increasingly rare. For example, an advertised gaming laptop that would normally have AMD Ryzen and AMD Radeon would instead sell one with an NVIDIA graphics card in lieu of the latter.

The United States government suing Adobe was something I kinda saw coming. I knew Adobe went on a primrose path to greediness when Acrobat last had an update for Linux devices exactly 11 years ago, and I say this as someone without an active Creative Cloud account.

Some advice after 25 years of work in Egypt/living in AL: 1) Liquid IV is best electrolyte/salt hydration drink (or Pedialyte) 2)If overheated, cool shower, then colder bath (slow temp decrease) 3) Freeze bottles of water. Put between legs (crotch)+ under armpits+ at neck. Will cool blood rapidly
