I’m not surprised this is such a spirited discussion, because it is complex and individual circumstances may differ greatly depending on: where you live, your access to resources, etc. I don’t think there’s a 1-size fits all answer.

I don’t feel like the question is about whether another candidate has a better/worse chance. I think the concern is whether Joe Biden is in the best place to execute the duties of the office when re-elected, or if someone else would be more effective. I understand you must win the election first.

I view it in the lens of X-Men Comics, I leave the Grand Schemes and manipulations to Men like Prof X and Magneto. I spend my time protecting and educating my community like Emma Frost. And looking out for myself like she does. The grand scheming just makes things worse

Then I attended a community meeting with my State Rep and City Alderperson, who live in the neighborhoods adjacent to mine (I could walk over-knock on their doors) And they acted dejected when I asked about bans on care for minors to pass into law, and what the plan was to reverse it…

Again, there are obstacles for me personally to voting by mail that have to do with me relocating cities. And my vote doesn’t count for anything. My enemies are too great. I’m outnumbered.

For you it’s a negligible amount of time and probably makes sense to vote. For me it means an entire day of taking public transit. I wouldn’t be working in my store that day and we generate significantly less revenue when I’m not on the sales floor. So it’s a calculation with different variables

I agree, those are the options I’m presented, but my choice doesn’t matter-Electoral college, I don’t own property, taking a day off to get to the polls. My situation: it’s more productive to go to work and sell butt plugs than take a day and multiple bus transfers for a token vote and a sticker.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t vote, but delaying Proj 2025 4 yrs so they can threaten us again with it next election? That doesn’t appeal to me. We’re going to take the to battle to the Christo-Fascist movement eventually and If I’m destroyed: at least I can slap Nazis on my way out.

Read the link I posted. 30 years! Dems in my state have had 30 years to pass MONA, to prioritize my rights and safety, but they aren’t prepared to fight for my rights. They won’t filibuster or disrupt capital or impose any consequences on the other party for their bigotry

IMHO there is no hope for change within the political establishment. That illusion is shattered. I live in a MO. My vote for president means nothing. My vote for local politicians, who sat on their hands and watched as gender affirming healthcare for minors was banned, also means squat.
