Watching the British election returns I feel compelled to point out that the 650 person House of Commons represents 67 million people and the 435 person House of Representatives in the United States represents 333 million. Replace the Permanent Apportionment Act of 1929. We deserve representation.

Either the Democrats will run Biden, or he'll say he can't continue the campaign and Democrats will run Harris. Either is newsworthy, but neither is nearly as radical as running a pro-insurrection convicted felon with legal immunity he's eager to use.

It’s a joke, but to play it out, people’s lives would be better. They’d get improved schools, health care, housing, social services in an effort to stay up. When clubs are relegated or heading toward it, the manager is usually fired, so the gov and legislative leadership are the ones displaced.

I think we should follow European football & adopt promotion/relegation with regard to states. Every census we review quality of life metrics & the 3 worst states get relegated & the 3 best territories get promoted. Mississippi is always in the relegation zone.

The Circuit Court ruled that Trump is not immune from persecution in Feb 2024. SCOTUS could have just declined to touch that. Instead they waited five months to say "Trump is immune on some things, not others, y'all should figure out which," and it's very clear what they're doing
