Kyrsten Sinema was the perfect Gen X representation because she abandoned all principles by her 35th birthday and dressed like Daria to assuage any guilt about it
we need a reality bites sequel in which janeane garofalo’s character becomes a lobbyist-shilling, erratic senator who wrecks shit and spills martinis on herself on the senate floor and then finds no one wants to talk to her or pay her when she flames out
But it was millennials who voted for her because she said she was bisexual. It was the only thing she ran on. She banked on the LGBTQ millennials, not actually looking at her past or her donors. Sure, you can mock GenX, but it was you dumb kids that voted her in.
Gen X are the senior enlisted ranks who know how to survive.
But there are some X collaborators, idiotic 2nd lieutenants who march the company into machine gun fire so the colonel has to read their after action report.
Everyone is dunking on her wardrobe, but she could have dressed like a normy and sucked just as bad. I don’t think a man in her position would take the residual heat. Just feels wrong- she sucked despite her “waiting in line for Breeders tix” vibes
I’m Gen X and I tend to admire Gen X and Boomers, and I tend to think Millennials and Zoomers are ridiculous, but that they’ll get more wise as they grow older.
Generally speaking, people under 30 know nothing and aren’t worth listening to, and that’s been true forever, and it isn’t their fault. 🤷🏻♂️
I resent the accuracy of this characterization of my generation, because I did become a military contractor to keep my kids housed when I was in my mid thirties. Less embarrassed about it than I am about my time at TSA.
yes hello we have always fucking sucked, everyone wants to play pretend but I was there and limp bizkit sold millions of records while pavement ate shit. fred durst ass generation
