I’m thinking of how the eyes of late teens and 20somethings will be opened, as mine were in my 20s at the end of the Tory govt. Finding out that things don’t HAVE to be that way. It doesn’t have to be the natural order.

There’s going to be a group of opportunists ready to listen to Reform. That would be anathema in some seats, and that would be at least one split. Tories could divide into future Reformers, never Reformers, and sometimes Reformers. That’s REF/LD/CON numbers post breakup.

Cleverly insisting that British politics is broken. I really don’t think it is. The Tory party is broken. It broke itself & the country was damaged by the shrapnel. But governing the country, not the party that happens to be in government, will quickly heal a lot of the wounds we’ve all sustained.
