IDK kind of feels like we should be paying more attention to a prominent conservative think tank saying we're in the midst of a second american revolution that will remain bloodless as long as long as the left lets it be, then whether or not Biden should step down.

Either the Democrats will run Biden, or he'll say he can't continue the campaign and Democrats will run Harris. Either is newsworthy, but neither is nearly as radical as running a pro-insurrection convicted felon with legal immunity he's eager to use.

I agree. I think a lot of people who are "calling for Biden to step aside" (I'm not in that camp because frankly it's too late) are mostly just venting frustration that he didn't do it earlier. I will obviously vote for him, and I hope others who are venting will do the same.

In my ideal world, that candidate would be Gretchen Whitmer, but there are other people who could have taken the mantle too.

Imagine where we'd be right now if Biden had done what he said he was going to do: step aside after only one term. Like, if he had made it clear 18 months ago that the field was clear for a new candidate, we'd have a strong candidate with a well-funded machine heading into this election.

The only two permutations of this that work are:
1) Biden stays in
2) Biden steps aside for Harris but remains in office
Everything other permutation of this idea is either a fantasy or propaganda whose discussion is designed to get the Dems to lose the election and usher Trump into power.

Yeah. This feels like a really silly decision (if in fact they do delay).

Homeless people can be arrested for sleeping, Presidents cannot be arrested for rampant graft and corruption done while in office.
There is no clearer a summary of "conservative 'law and order'" than this.

We probably ought to have a conversation about a partisan court declaring Trump above the rule of law that is at least as intense as the one we've had about Joe Biden being very old.

yes, yes, biden's age is the most important issue because we have a system of government in which if we elect a mad king with no viable heirs there is no provision to maintain the realm in the event of his death

If I was putting questions into these models—knowing that the cost is only "free" because the creators have underpriced (or stolen) access to the results of human thinking and labor AND to environmental resources— I wouldn't publicize the BS questions I put in for shits and giggles or the results.

I stumbled upon this person because in APIO 00092 we have an Armenian translation of his play "L'asilo d'Amore," translated by Yovhannēs Yezekean in 1825.

Oranges, a gift fit for a king. So says a 1749 letter from Fra Louis-Gabriel de Froullay, Ambassador of the Order of Malta at Versailles, to Grand Master Pinto. Pinto's gift of fleur d'orange and oranges to King Louis XV were given to the king at supper and "all the royal family ate with pleasure."

The fact that a second Trump administration is even a POSSIBILITY is such a tremendous failure on the part of every segment of our political elites. He could have been impeached, convicted, and permanently excluded on the very day. He could have been arrested the second he left office. Etc., etc.
