FYI I take 0.3mg/day Florinef, 0.2 in the early am and 0.1 after dinner. Iāve tried cutting back with ā¦ unfortunate results. Though Iām curious if the guanfacine would change that.

I hope some combo of guanfacine and florinef helps you! It sounds like we have a lot of symptoms in common, always happy to discuss where things in my experience line up with yours. š

I definitely understand only one med change at a time! The waiting is HARD but itās worth it to run health experiments as effectively as possible for n=1 subject. I donāt have vasculitis afaik, though tbh with LC who knows? Iām EDS, POTS, LC-based ME, milder MCAS, chronic migraine.

that the midodrine was actually the cause. But going on florinef was actually what ended a ten-month constant migraine while drinking and immediately peeing back out 6 plus liters a day. Now Iām stable around 3.5-4.5L depending on the temperature and my hormonal state.

I tried florinef first and have done well on it (uh, aside from ending up in the ER hypokalemic: you have to keep a CLOSE eye on your potassium levels and supplement like mad) and my midodrine experiment coincided with some really bad MCAS flares so we discontinued even though Iām not convinced ā¦

Guanfacine has been really, REALLY good for my brain fog and fatigue from LC. I started at 0.5mg and went up by 0.5s to 2mg SLOWLY, I think over three months? Each increase would cause a BP drop for a few days but then Iād manage to adjust. Note I also take florinef to help me keep sodium/fluids.

No, he was on his way to an orchestra dress rehearsal when he found the mushroom and the photo was taken. It was later shared with the author, who I think he knew from a local mushroom-hunter group?

For Disability Pride Month, one thing I'd love abled bodied people to figure out is how to speak to someone with chronic health issues without implying that if they themselves had the disabled person's health conditions, they would end it all. I promise you life goes on- even with health issues.

One of the things I think about a lot is how one of the first lessons my mom taught me about voting was that it's not enough to consider what's best for your interests but those of the people around you. Your actions/vote will have an impact on them too. It's a principle I wish more ppl learned.

Then you missed some shit.

Of course thereās also the mindset shift of sitting at the kitchen table to prep ingredients, but that doesnāt help with needing to stand over the stove. For that I would sit on the stoolmore sideways relative to the counter, which, suboptimal but less so than standing when I couldnāt.

It looks like this. Itās height adjustable like an office chair and the angled-down leg areas let me knees kind splay out. It works well for me to use it to sit at a corner of a counter, since the normal issue with stools and cooking is nowhere for your knees to go so youāre too far away to work.
