We went from scratching the surface with crashes and the doors flying off, and now we're down into "um maybe we didn't actually build the planes out of the stuff we said." AND THIS CAME OUT *BEFORE* SCOTUS TOOK ENFORCEMENT POWERS FROM FEDERAL REGULATORS

This remains one of the best covers of all time, and the ending is incredible. It's so hard to do a great cover while also doing something new, and Brass Against nailed it

Guy waited five years and paid $102k for a Cybertruck, crashed it after four hours of driving, only for Tesla to tell him that "the accelerator may not disengage under braking" and that it will take $30k and one year to repair.

Truly an L of historical proportions.

"Calling their mistakes 'hallucinations' isn’t harmless: it lends itself to the confusion that the machines are in some way misperceiving but are nonetheless trying to convey something that they believe or have perceived."

This is NFTs all over again. None of these companies are bothering to look at anyone else trying this so they're surprised when they just end up punching themselves in the face.

Generally speaking, they keep trying to replace all people with disastrous results (in either quality or hallucinations). Sadly, a lot of people could careless about quality.. >_<

As interesting as that is (I have had a similar thing happen), the industry itself is spending billions to make millions. So simple applications like this will not be worth the resource cost. Like with NFT, Metaverse and blockchain, the majority of AI things I keep seeing are outright scams.

reuters has really done an amazing job detailing, piece by piece, how tesla is basically a giant pile of fraud built on the back of poorly built tech and the empty promises of an opportunistic bullshitter

We probably aren’t paying enough attention to how many Facebook users of a certain age are 100% incapable of figuring out if a certain image is AI generated - or just altered in Photoshop.

Every time tech companies release a demo that absolutely blows everyone's mind and launches a million think-pieces about how industries will change, there's always a short piece that comes out weeks or months later that reveals the demo was basically made up. Case in point:

New: men are using an app that looks like you're live on TikTok with 20,000 watching. Using it to lie to women. But the audience is fake, it's AI generated.

There are lot of people who do not keep track of what they are being charged for unless it gets too high. Free subscription models often prey upon human memory limitations.

Since writing this article, I have received messages from angry men, calling me names, telling I’m wrong, & that I’d be begging a man to save me if I was lost in the woods. To recap, there are men are sending me abusive emails to prove they are the safe choice. So far, no bears have written in.

New from 404 Media: Instagram is advertising nonconsensual AI nude apps. Shows that these sorts of tools—which are being actively used inside schools to harass/target people—are not hidden in the corners of the internet. It's right there, on Instagram www.404media.co/instagram-ad...
