“Regardless of your political opinions, a former president being indicted is a very sad day for our country…”
Let me stop you there, nerd. It is a very FUN and GREAT day for our country and we deserve more of this stuff. It’s rare but WONDERFUL when powerful people get held to account, for once.
And yet, the fact that we actually elected this trash is very sad, ditto the fact that this has been swept under the rug so we have to fight the fight again (mostly because 95% of Congressional Republicans betrayed their Oath of Office and voted against Impeachment and/or the election):
fact is, if this was anybody else they'd already be sitting in jail awaiting all their upcoming trials. he'd have been slapped in the slammer for either the classified material caper or the january insurrection, or both. just sayin'
It is SPECIFICALLY only very sad if your political opinions are regarded. If you were duped into believing the criminal is some kind of policy genius or like, misunderstood populist or whatever, then you SHOULD feel at least a tinge of pain as your bubble bursts, and hopefully you'll learn from it
The sad part is he ever got elected in the first place. But if we elect a crook, damn right I'm popping the champagne when the crook gets held to account
Any non-conservative who would say something like this in all seriousness couldn't possibly be over the age of 20. This is fucking hilarious and I am pumped. You sweet summer child, you have no idea how bitter you're going to grow against assholes like this. They have no principles whatsoever.
The day he committed a whole bunch of crimes was a sad one.
Oh did I say day? I meant years... or uh.... lifetime?
He sure banked a boatload of crimes before appointing 3 lifetime SC justices, we know that much
I legit had a coworker tell me just an hour ago "I don't know which way you vote, red or blue, but please for the love of God, vote blue." Gives me hope
MY SCHADENFREUDE-LACED, JUSTICE-INFORMED POLITICAL OPINIONS WILL BE REGARDED
The sadness was from him getting 3 million fewer voters than Clinton and getting elected to shit on the country for 4 years and then insurrecting like a madman.
No, it was A VERY SAD DAY when this sorry ass excuse of a country elected a con artist.
Yesterday was fucking hilarious, and I will rub it in the faces of anyone remotely SAD that we finally got a SHRED of justice for once.
If the US government can’t function in its current state without massive amounts of graft, corruption, and human rights violations then that means it should be radically changed, not the rest of us conditioned to accept criminality in our leaders as the norm.
Anyone who thinks it's a tragic day when, as so very rarely happens, the US actually lives up to the ideal of equality under the law, is revealing a great deal about themselves, none of it good.
Hey, it's me, the guy who introduced Murdering Protesters With a Hammer Act of 2024. I want to say that regardless of our differences in opinions, a President going to jail for financial crimes is very sad
It’s the same type of disingenuous argument they use after school/mass shootings…thoughts and prayers but we’re not allowed to talk about gun control 🙄
