@birb.mom

I once heard an ornithologist on the CBC say that crows are animals which "have exceeded their evolutionary parameters and are now just bored"

I heard or read a great interview with a zoologist where he was asked why something like 25% of male giraffes engage in gay sex and he said (paraphrase) "Because they enjoy it? Giraffes are highly evolved mammals. They're not battling to survive. They have free time."

This is why I feed my local crows, so as to not inspire their wrath. (My dad and I have been saying good morning to them for YEARS lol)

I watch the local crows surf on the wind currents as they swoop up against the sea wall, then chill out and watch the sunset with their friends, and they are NOT bored They're living my dream life

I was just telling my daughter about when I was in first grade, our town was invaded by chicken-sized crows who terrorized my elementary school for a month.

I often wonder if it’s ok to interact with crows and ravens, are we messing with their natural lives? Then I think I think they seem to welcome it, as long as they approach and can leave at any time I reckon it’s ok. Still not sure though.
