When/if H5N1 makes the jump to sustained human-to-human transmission, the virus might not resemble the current stockpiled vaccine. The mRNA option allows for a better match to that hypothetical strain, as well as much faster mass production if needed.

during the few periods of my life when i didn't have to adhere to anyone-but-mine's sleep schedule, i got insane amounts of shit done. my joints felt better and worked better. i never had headaches and most other chronic conditions receded drastically. sometimes i cry about this

my suprachiasmic nucleus has come up with a terrible compromise to DSPS (and/or non-24) and maintaining a semblance of my family's schedule. once or twice a month it keeps me up til 5-6am and then wakes me up at 10am, basically guaranteeing a round of cluster headaches and real real bad dysautonomia

i've thought for a long time about registering republican basically to vote in primaries for the least worst people, when that's an option. Unfortunately a lot of people in local elections have zero web presence and searching for info about them often turns up nothing besides "they're running"

Yeah, I would say the takeaway is that Clarence Thomas is only looking out for Clarence Thomas and he has no qualms about taking bribes that improve the life/lot of Clarence Thomas. For him, the United States is just a means to this end
