Pride BEGAN during a time of anti-sodomy laws. The first Pride was a riot against those laws. Pride is celebrated around the world in places where it is much more dangerous to be queer than here. Pride is not dependent on being ALLOWED to be who we are, it’s a promise that we WILL be no matter what

I dunno if I'll ever be able to not go to that parade because of that. It a Was my turning point for that con. My own little moment of salvation. It may not always be a thing. Events like that just don't scale for the growth. /4

Everyone wanted high fives & kids lit up to see my glowing claws, & I felt like I was on top of the world compared to where I'd been. It was such an incredible rush, & it carried me the whole rest of that day. I spent most of that day in suit, even into the night at the dances, till like 200 am. /3

Saturday rolls around, I'm barely able to do breakfast, but I actually feel hungry, so I put my suit on and go to the parade. The rails and chairs were, up, but none of us guessed what was coming. We get rolling, and suddenly we're going outside. There's a band, hundreds of cheering people. /2

The parade at AC is something that always holds a special place in my heart. Nothing else quite like it out there. But for me especially, it will always have a special meaning. Back... A while, I think the first year we went outside, I got sick at AC. Spent Thurs and Fri in my room, miserable. /1

But the march was fun, the block party was fun, the dances with genres I liked were really good, and the cruise were great. Seeing friends again was good. So overall, good con. Hope everyone else had fun, safe travels home. /end

Communications from the con were severely lacking in some areas. (Bags at the dance, for example) Signage/crowd control and traffic direction in some cases was a big miss. (Direction of the reg crowd, other stuff) Not really sure why fursuit badges were handled as they were this year. /3

I appreciated the con center being open till midnight again. That was much nicer. Organization for the march was nicer than last year. Still rough in a couple spots (decision making I didn't understand) but better. Con space didn't feel over crowded for how many folks were there. /2

Another AC done. Saw a lotta folks, suited a bunch, got back to being able to suit for a long time, though I paid for it the next day a bit. Con was overall good. Some poor comms and decisions by the con, gonna leave my feedback aybd hope things improve. /1
