Call your rep today to encourage them to support AOC’s articles of impeachment. I will block anyone who tells me why they, personally, cannot and therefore why it’s pointless.

Shakespeare: "The evil that men do lives after them; The good is oft interred with their bones." Of course, Shakespeare lived in different times. We'd never stand for such things today. The good is to be interred IMMEDIATELY, like radioactive waste.

I thought that there were two unrelated meanings. One was literal - expenses that you paid out of your own funds. The other related to the musicians' term for a group playing well together, "in the pocket". So OOP would be not playing well with the group.

when people are expressing anger and disappointment because an artist whose work they really liked turned out to be a creep it's a cool move to make sure everyone knows you never liked that artist's work in the first place, always remind people that you're better than them when they are feeling low

Bill and Ted approach everything with curiosity and enthusiasm. They learn from their mistakes and show empathy with others. No wonder the future civilization is based on their teachings.

When you start thinking that people who make dark art must surely be dark people, remember that Cannibal Corpse vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher is famous for playing claw machines on tour and donating the stuffed animals he wins to local toy drives and children's hospitals.

1/ More on my growing sense that @nytimes.com may just be irretrievably spiraling down. I'd missed last months NYT Magazine piece by Alina Chan once again claiming the COVID pandemic started w. a lab leak.
The Mag pushed that almost certainly false claim seemingly w/out fact checking. Oops:

something that i saw in regard to the latest abusive celebrity man that has been bothering me a lot is someone asserting that because the man in question had written sexual abuse into his work, that should’ve been a red flag to let us know that he was a sexual abuser. no. that is not how that works.

Their attempts to boil everything down to a very simple formula for predator detection is so bleak and depressing. And those of us who are survivors know how futile it is. Our abusers most often were masters at hiding their true selves. Everyone thought mine were cheerful, kind, wonderful men.

“We aerosolized SARS-CoV-2 & pulled it through masks. After 1hr we were able to recover infectious virus from fabric masks but not an N95 or surgical mask. When we pressed artificial skin against the masks we found viral RNA but no infectious virus on the skin.” #MasksWork

I'd call that a fair assessment, really. I'm still kind of fascinated with the movie. I often say "it's like they knew a giallo should have a mystery, clues, detection, and finally revelation of the answer, but had no idea all those things should fit together."

That kind of shit drives me up the wall, like a Family Guy cutaway where they just do something from a movie or whatever, it feels like watching television for babies but for adults, presenting a bunch of familiar shapes and colors for them to giggle and clap at. It's incredibly sad to me.
