A question I'd recommend any journalist deploy if they have the chance to interview an elected R:
"Should the Supreme Court have given Donald Trump, if he's reelected, the right to murder you and your family?"

There are two elements to the immunity decision that are particularly extreme in a way that many will miss: (1) motive is irrelevant and (2) immune acts are not just excluded from prosecution, they’re excluded from evidence.

To be fair, only the left is expected to fix anything, so it is the left's fault if the right is in power and wielding a wrecking ball thru everything and making everyone upset.

Every rebuttal should have simply been about him lying and just ramping it up. Things like "Man, if you're just gonna lie, why not tell the one about hot models finding you sexier than professional athletes? I get a laugh out of that one every time!" or "Dude, everyone knows you cheat at golf!"

This was my Mom and I at the King Tut exhibit when I was 5 years old. She didn't think I'd be interested, so she only rented one headset explaining each display case. We listened together to each one. As an adult, I took her to another King Tut exhibit tour.
Hits right in the feels.

Simply put, you can vote *AGAINST* Project 2025 or vote *FOR* it by giving a vote to anyone but Biden.
If you're just now figuring out that voting is always about choosing the lesser evil, welcome to the party. Bring your own drinks.

Since the GOP have weaponized Truthiness (repeating a lie so often it is believed), then I see no problem with Democrats repeating the Truth until it is recognized as true.
Would have also made Trump angry because he would be constantly called out without rattling Biden.

Honestly didn't watch it, but could have told you before any debate, Biden's best rebuttal would have simply been to shake his head and keep asking if he's going to tell the truth at any time during the debate. Make jokes about the record number of lies accumulating, even for Trump.

Got PCOS ladies? Sorry, you don't look feminine enough. Love that pixie cut? You must be a dude in disguise. Those clothes you're wearing mean you're clearly a dude, as no woman would wear them.
Conform out of fear.

Keep in mind JKR's allies are the same people who want women who do not present as feminine enough in their eyes to be physically confronted, with no repercussions, for simply trying to use a public bathroom. They want women to conform to specific, narrowing views.

Realistically, Tennant is personally safe, but the average rank and file pro-trans rights person is not. JKR and her ilk want people afraid of personal violence against them if they publicly oppose them. To force not just Trans people into a closet, but their allies.

This is a "won't someone rid me of this meddlesome priest" death threat against Tennant. JKR has billionaire security and resources, while Tennant is a successful working actor out in the public. JKR is playing the victim while encouraging a stochastic terrorism solution to pro-trans rights.

A few years ago, Jon Lovett floated a theory that media treats Democrats like protagonists - to be challenged, accounted, and forced to be behave in growth-oriented ways - while the GOP are treated like antagonists - immutable, expected to disrupt, thematic obstacles.
Thinking about that a lot.

I'mma say this for all the people in the back.
Don't vote for a person. Vote for your rights, for the rights of others. On page 5 of Project 2025's 180-day plan they openly call for outlawing porn, recommending imprisoning anyone who creates it. Are you an NSFW artist, or like the art? THIS IS YOU.

As fundamentally flawed as the DNC is, they're looking at the big picture of down ballot, where the RNC head Laura Trump has made it clear every dollar goes to Trump. When multiple state GOP are experiencing dire financial concerns, it is a bold choice to further defend those ground organizations.

i don't know, man, i'm just some humble idiot shitposter, but i do not think that the democratic party trying to usurp the sitting president from the nomination and then also throwing the first black vice-president under the bus will be very popular with the democratic party's voter base

Tennant is standing up for one of his own children and Rowling is trying to appeal to the very people who would never buy her books and would still criticize her making Dumbledore gay. Literally love versus hate, and I stand with love.

In "Bell Riots," the dystopian vision of 2024 is that sanctuary districts would be designated which legally permit the unhoused to sleep outside or in derelict buildings, where food is provided and there's an office that sets people up with work. Again, this is the dystopian part of the Bell Riots.

The Supreme Court’s right-wing majority keeps justifying its awful decisions with ludicrous claims to “history” that no historian would support.

Recently, I was peer reviewing a paper, and it cited one of my papers.
Except... it wasn't anything I had written. The title sounds like something I'd write. It included coauthors I work with, and was in a journal I've published in.
But it wasn't real.

Also too: imagine if every NYT pundit used their valuable space this morning to call on Rs to ditch Trump for being held liable for sexual abuse, for committing 34 felonies, and for lying about literally everything. They could do that! They don't! I wonder why!

Donald Trump cannot answer straightforward questions about anything. He can’t answer them from regular people; he can’t answer them on a debate stage, and he can’t answer them under oath — at least if he doesn’t want a perjury charge. And he’s not the answer for this country or this election.

Honestly have no idea how someone could have been undecided before the debate. The stakes are extremely clear at this stage, especially since the winner will likely have two SCOTUS appointments.

It would be a fun high school civics assignment to have students write state representatives who voted for the Ten Commandments in classrooms who are also divorced about why they committed adultery in direct violation of the Ten Commandments.

What records they will have will have been pirated by people who wanted to have copies of their own and couldn't get them any other way. But even those will have storage issues. Not just long term storage issues. There are formats from a decade ago that are hard to access now.

Well worth it. One of the few series that really sticks the landing well at the end for individual characters. Some you see coming, some you don't, but all seem to just feel right.

The world needs more people with love in their hearts and a desire to help others like Dolly Parton.
We've got too many filled with hatred and the desire to lash out at others like JK Rowling.

Imagine if Saint Dolly of Parton, had access to billionaire money, the amount of good she could do for the world magnified.
Rowling had the reputation of creating readers and could have done amazing things for education worldwide. She could have become a recluse. Instead, she embraced hatred.

The GOP has been horrible at the economy for my entire voting history, and I'm old enough to remember seeing Star Wars a half dozen times when it was originally released. They do excel at running up the debt for things that do nothing to help the average American, then blaming Democrats for the bill
