For writing, it still boggles my mind how, when he had at least a half dozen excellent novel writers, who knew his lore better than he did, he didn't have one or more of then involved. George is infamous for being lousy at dialogue, even for Oscar winners. Should have given them an outline instead.

Star Wars fans need to admit our debt of gratitude to George Lucas' first wife Marcia Lucas. Her ideas saved the Death Star trench run in the first film. She was there to tell George, and he listened, when he had a terrible idea. The prequels suffered from lacking someone to tell George "no."

This was my Mom and I at the King Tut exhibit when I was 5 years old. She didn't think I'd be interested, so she only rented one headset explaining each display case. We listened together to each one. As an adult, I took her to another King Tut exhibit tour. Hits right in the feels.

Since the GOP have weaponized Truthiness (repeating a lie so often it is believed), then I see no problem with Democrats repeating the Truth until it is recognized as true. Would have also made Trump angry because he would be constantly called out without rattling Biden.

Honestly didn't watch it, but could have told you before any debate, Biden's best rebuttal would have simply been to shake his head and keep asking if he's going to tell the truth at any time during the debate. Make jokes about the record number of lies accumulating, even for Trump.

Keep in mind JKR's allies are the same people who want women who do not present as feminine enough in their eyes to be physically confronted, with no repercussions, for simply trying to use a public bathroom. They want women to conform to specific, narrowing views.

Realistically, Tennant is personally safe, but the average rank and file pro-trans rights person is not. JKR and her ilk want people afraid of personal violence against them if they publicly oppose them. To force not just Trans people into a closet, but their allies.

A few years ago, Jon Lovett floated a theory that media treats Democrats like protagonists - to be challenged, accounted, and forced to be behave in growth-oriented ways - while the GOP are treated like antagonists - immutable, expected to disrupt, thematic obstacles. Thinking about that a lot.

As fundamentally flawed as the DNC is, they're looking at the big picture of down ballot, where the RNC head Laura Trump has made it clear every dollar goes to Trump. When multiple state GOP are experiencing dire financial concerns, it is a bold choice to further defend those ground organizations.

In "Bell Riots," the dystopian vision of 2024 is that sanctuary districts would be designated which legally permit the unhoused to sleep outside or in derelict buildings, where food is provided and there's an office that sets people up with work. Again, this is the dystopian part of the Bell Riots.

Recently, I was peer reviewing a paper, and it cited one of my papers. Except... it wasn't anything I had written. The title sounds like something I'd write. It included coauthors I work with, and was in a journal I've published in. But it wasn't real. AI is not good for science.

Imagine if Saint Dolly of Parton, had access to billionaire money, the amount of good she could do for the world magnified. Rowling had the reputation of creating readers and could have done amazing things for education worldwide. She could have become a recluse. Instead, she embraced hatred.

The GOP has been horrible at the economy for my entire voting history, and I'm old enough to remember seeing Star Wars a half dozen times when it was originally released. They do excel at running up the debt for things that do nothing to help the average American, then blaming Democrats for the bill
