An actual 1st step would be to push for ranked choice voting to eliminate the "spoiler" effect in American politics. The system is set up to corral people who want change into irrelevance by voting 3rd party or not voting at all, a comforting statement of identity that achieves nothing but feed ego.

"I have principles" That's literally what I'm saying. Your goal here is to define yourself - and you've succeeded. At no point was there a real suggestion to make things better or prevent them from getting worse. And I am neither white nor moderate but at least you feel good about yourself, right?

So far your argument is effectively more of a statement of "what you stand for" rather than real world effects, how it makes you feel about yourself as opposed to real world impact. If the fruit of your labor equals exacerbation, perhaps reconsider your approach.

It's fascinating how there's such a push by monied interests to get everything quick, together with the public's general lack of awareness of the time a lot of these works take, and then for people to ask why we don't really see as much art like this anymore.

As someone who has always been obsessed with lighting in my art, this year I've started taking more conscious liberties where someone might say "This doesn't match the light source" and I'd say "I know... and I like it this way."

That's because cracking down on ANY pressure against Netanyahu would have ZERO political consequences for Trump. If Trump wins, the only demographic that's gonna matter is Trump supporters, and I personally wouldn't entrust that responsibility on them.

She tried to suggest it seemed reasonable to think it was settled at the time, but that is precisely what I'M pointing out: The folly of Americans thinking it'd be fine to entrust Trump with Supreme Court nominations in 2016 AND now in 2024. Centrists, Liberals and Leftists all suck at results.
