Every tax attorney knows that Congress writes very specific, detailed tax laws that account for every possible eventuality, and they don't ever punt to Treasury to fill in the gaps. [taps earpiece] Wait, this just in: literally everything in that first paragraph is wrong. Who would have thought?

Ok great, cool, I feel so much better about the loss of Chevron deference now. All we need is for congress to write and pass really good, watertight laws about nuclear technologies and everything else and then it will be fine :) :) :) ...WAIT A SECOND

Do not embezzle money. Especially don't embezzle for a phasing scheme if you hold a security clearance. But if you do, then get in a physical fight about it which results in your arrest, you must report it to the agency that gave you a clearance.
If you don't, well,,,

Firework warning labels are something to behold. Do not light indoors or in a confined space. Do not light while holding. Do not aim at another person. Do not aim at any structures. Etc. Every warning is a story but unfortunately the people who need to hear them aren't reading warning labels

I'm working on this for key outdoor gear, having 3 separate set of things for running/day pack, for search and rescue, and for camping/backpacking. It's NOT cheap but I never want to be in the woods and realize that I forgot to dig my headlamp or matches or emergency blanket out of some other pack

Of course DEN-SAF usually turns and approaches the runway from the south so you do normally turn north-ish but that happens once you pass Santa Fe, not before (ex. from my successful flight later)

I told another passenger that I was worried when we were on our 3rd circle and the pilot hadn't said anything yet. She asked how I knew and I told her I noticed immediately when the caldera was visible on the left side where it shouldn't be, then I counted! Then we were diverted on the 4th pass

I'm in Missouri this weekend and saw a tv ad for presumably the same guy where he said he was going to deport all the undocumented immigrants in the state. Then immediately said that although he can't do that as governor he's gonna do it anyway. What?

A post I wrote a while ago on how rulemaking used to work. The Chevron case has upended this. Now, instead of the NRC deciding how not to blow up reactors, we'll get some judge who has no idea what a fucking neutron is. Should work out great.

While there are many conversations to be had about the NRC, it's not better if congress needs to pass more laws in order for regulations on nuclear technology to be made and enforced

I guess it also depends where you live and recreate. In some places basically all campgrounds and parks are gonna have cell service with at least 3g. I live in New Mexico though and I lose coverage driving to the nearest town (in any direction)
