Keeping Trump out of the White House isn’t the only thing that needs doing and it isn’t enough to solve all problems facing the country & world but if it isn’t done then all those problems get exponentially worse in ways I don’t even know how to express and it scares me when people pretend otherwise

The only advice I’d give the Biden campaign is to go to war with the NYT. They’re even less popular than Biden or Trump, would form a good rallying cry, and reframes the campaign to be an underdog attempt to push good policy against elites who don’t want it. “NYT is for the billionaires, we’re not.”

In a world chock full of crappy, overpriced chains pretending to be the real deal (looking at you "Delaney's Diner), Paul's was a hold out place that was the real deal.

You could get the best French Toast in town for breakfast, the best reuben for lunch, and then a great angel hair aglio e olio for dinner. I took my wife there on dates, and on lazy Saturday mornings after too much wine, it was back to Paul's to get carryout breakfast.

Paul's 5th Ave. in Grandview is closing after July 7th. That place has been an institution for almost 60 years.
In the 90s and 2000s, they used to serve amazing Italian dining in the evenings, and diner fare during the day.

I mean, to be fair, they've already used all the stuff human made to try to train the hallucinations out of the LLMs...
It absolutely hasn't worked, but they tried. Now I am going to sell my NFTs to buy another helping of rocks for dinner.

Incidentally, when Trump says that student debt forgiveness is "vile," remember that he has declared bankruptcy for his companies six times to get out of paying debt.

I dug out my X login, and looked to see if some folks I followed there were still coordinating code and coffee via the bird site.
Holy hell is it harder to use than before. The UI felt actively malicious.
All of that braved to find out that they stopped coordinating via Twitter in 2021.

The Mandalorian first and second season is what I imagined when I played with my Star Wars action figures as a kid. Seeing it made was joyful. Rogue One was interesting, if depressing. Moments of The Last Jedi had some new ideas. The rest I have not enjoyed very much.

Twice impeached.

He is now a convicted felon.
But sure. Believe him when he says you're special this November.

So much of the Trump mystique is straight up gaslighting by the establishment, both press and government. He's a pathetic wretch of a man, a shitty businessman, husband, father and overall human, but we keep getting told we have to assign meaning to his popularity, or follow norms to protect him.

The fact that Trump's attorney took a last minute "UH WAIT POLL THE JURY" swing reaching for ANYTHING and forced Trump to sit and listen to 12 people go "yeah no, he's guilty" one by one immediately after hearing 34 individual counts of "Guilty."
That's some serotonin. That's some joy.

Trump promising to deprive citizens of their citizenship.
Please don’t dismiss this with “Well, he can’t do that.” It would *probably* be invalidated by the courts but only after weeks, months, or years of ruining these citizens’ lives.

Thinking of buying a portable AC unit? Let me save you the trouble. Take the money and find a person asking for help at an intersection. Give them the money, if they promise to punch you in the face. Pay them. You've used the money far more wisely now, and had the same general effect on yourself.

I understand that for most AC units, the most important measure is BTU and maybe room size. But f9r a thought the wall unit, physical height and width is the most critical thing to be able to filter on.
