Fourth human H5N1 case reported, this one in Colorado, alongside more dairy cattle and cat detections.
Again, the person had mostly mild eye-related symptoms and responded well to tamiflu. π§ͺ

Except for the pickles, I keep buying different brands in hopes I can find a pickle I can stand right now.
My taste buds don't want pickles but my brain needs pickles. It is the worst.
In good news, I have found a pickle today that is okay. It isn't great but it works well enough.

I've thrown away a number of things after one bite. Which makes me sad because some of it was my previous favorites, but chemo taste buds want other food. I will wait until probably mid August before I try most of those foods again.

It is basically "Did you survive an almond mom? Do your best to throw all of that food and weight shame away because you are in chemo mode now. Eat all the comfort food! Have no shame in throwing food away if your taste buds changed, get something else and then mourn the tastiness."

I'm so going to have to write a blog post about eating and hydrating during chemo.
Yes, it will be more or less "Eat more protein!!" And "Any liquid you can keep down is good! Popsicles and fruit count as liquids!"
As well as, "Health and keeping your current size" cause yeah.

I'm on my last bag for the day. All the nurses are happy I don't have the one I'm allergic to.
I guess I am famous here for that.

In sadness, my oncologist is leaving September 3.
Sure, she's awesome and amazing but noooo she wants to move back closer to her family.
But aren't we family now?

My bloodwork looks even better than Monday. I got compliments on my albumin numbers cause it has been rock solid this entire time. Apparently that means my nutrition has been excellent.
I've also been keeping my weight the exact same.
So go me at this eating for chemo treatment.

Also the nurse that accessed my port knows me and was telling me about the chaos that was Monday and my chart.
Gotta love when the key words are just "Jenn" and "desensitization" for people to know who I am.

So they called around and rescheduled me in a place with a bigger MRI and maybe a boob sling instead of the square holes you lay into.
Fricken boobs causing problems.

Several people have been confused after I've asked if they know French or have quite a bit of money in a bank account after they tell me they'll just move to Canada.
Like seriously people, learn what the requirements are!
Also they hate when I follow up that I have to stay here.
