Yes, maybe there's some clever version of hardball Biden's team can come up with, something that doesn't involve ordering assassinations. But one thing he *should* be able to say is "I reject the idea that the president is above the law, and I vow never to use this illegitimate 'immunity' defense."

It's just hilariously disingenuous. Imagine looking at, say, ALL OF HUMAN HISTORY and concluding that the biggest threat to liberty isn't abuse of power, but powerful people refraining from sufficiently wielding their authority out of fear that they might one day be held accountable.

In other words, this is bad, because it functionally stalls everything forever, which basically means that if you have the resources to object to everything in a judicial process (like certain orange-skinned felons do) you can postpone them forever. Ergo purchased immunity.

It seems like the actual message from the SC (beyond "neener, neener, libs!") is "EVERYTHING and we mean EVERYTHING should actually be judicially reviewed." Every act, to decide whether it was official. Everything. That this just so happens to delay and stall everything is a feature, not a bug.

Today's Trump email. I've seen some ppl say that the "unified Reich" story is a distraction from "the real story" that Trump's main campaign promise is to deport (or put in detention camps) over 11 million people using draconian police state tactics. Fair enough, but aren't these the same story?

Not directly related, but one of my “favorite” things about the State of Texas is that, by law, anyone who signs a contract with it is not allowed to boycott Israel. statutes.capitol.texas.gov/Docs/GV/htm/...
