Man, I'm pretty far to the grinchy side about kids running amok, but how can one possibly imagine "hey you, you're a frog now" as out-of-control or inconsiderate or harmful in any way whatsoever? If the kids these days are doing nothing worse than turning us into frogs, the future is in good hands.

Think of climate change like a high speed train heading for a wall. There’s a huge difference between hitting the wall at full speed and slowing the train down as much as possible before you get there. There’s no such thing as “totally doomed” - we CAN slow down the train!

for comics: generally, characters can only take ONE action per panel. If your script has someone walk into a room, pick up a pencil and start writing in one panel, that's going to be impossible to draw* *some exceptions apply.

I did some layout analysis for different comics, and then I figured they’d probably be helpful for other people too. It’s really interesting how cartoonists can use different methods to create a sense of subjectivity or wrongness or slow time.

a "director's catharsis" is the entire point to making art and the definition of "mass appeal" because an artist who cares about the thing they're making and has real emotion and soul to share is exactly what's appealing to all of humanity a truly half-baked way to say "we'll be using AI" I guess

From the AP: They received a verbal order last week to cease the live transmission, and refused. Then today officials from the Communications Ministry handed the AP a piece of paper, signed by Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi, alleging the AP was violating the country’s foreign broadcaster law.
