A big problem with whiteness is whites don’t really realize they’re white. Society constructs whiteness as normative so they never consider it & to this day the majority of white people live in segregation from people of color. They don’t think of how being white informs interacting with us totally.

My late cat Lucy was 50/50 on tummy rubs. She liked them when she was sitting or standing, but the classic tummy trap pose was a tummy trap (she had a number of issues relating to trust stemming from a kitten hood being bullied by other cats so had some interesting quirks)

I want to remind everyone: It's PERFECTLY OKAY to still love art made by people who turn out to be terrible. It's good not to SUPPORT those people, once you know they've done horrible things, but the WORK ITSELF lives in your heart and you own it as much as anyone else does.
