this telescope was gifted to NASA by the NRO, which had it left over & sitting in a clean room since the late 90s (I think). What is the NRO & why do they have better telescopes than astronomers? as a former congressional intern, yes, they do keep track of constituents' opinions. basically just had to record their name/address and position, and the data was compiled and reported to the representative. no guarantees on how much they'll care of course.
