After intense pressure from leadingLGBTQ+ advocacy groups, the White House has issued a clarification about its position on gender-affirming care for transgender people in America.

In every way, it was the opposite of how the US is approaching the threat of far right power. The message liberals *should* be learning from it, instead of tepid VOTE messaging, is that they are miserable fucking failures at being people. To actually even *try* to fix shit.

French politicians weren't telling their voters to shut the fuck up, look what the alternative is. French citizens weren't telling each other to enjoy the camps. There was something to vote *for* other than a tired j/o gesture and a threat.

When the american liberals use France's election as an illustration of the need to VOTE, they ignore that people were not only voting against the far right but *for* something. They voted for a campaign which promises to: increase minimum wage, lower retirement age, pay for all childcare, etc

it's not another kind of abortion ban, it's not "this may have a negative impact on abortion access" it's a straight fucking shot to criminalizing abortion as homicide, it's not an abortion "restriction" or an abortion "ban" it's a means of prosecuting every pregnancy that isn't carried to term

I don't know if the people writing this crap understand this or not, but they should: "fetal personhood" as a concept mandates treating pregnancy termination and pregnancy loss (under whatever circumstances prosecutors want to define it) as homicide

Saying goodbye to my pretty silver laced wyandotte today, since he turned out to be a surprise rooster. Luckily a friend of mine needs to cycle in a new unrelated rooster to her flock, so he gets to live a happy life with lots of girls to look after. I am sad to lose him, though.

The Gilbert Baker Foundation, which, to be clear, does not even use the Gilbert Baker Flag with the Pink Stripe in its marketing of its own foundation (see below) is going after small time queer creators just for using the name referencing the creator of the flag with the Pink Stripe.

So the Gilbert Baker Foundation is demanding money from small time queer creators because they correctly referenced a specific color scheme as "the Gilbert Baker flag" on their site?
