If this were a normal election, President Biden would be extolling excellent economic news: inflation looks like it has not only been tamed, but turned around. Median wage growth (which excises returns for the top 1%) is outpacing inflation significantly. Unemployment is near record lows.

"Fasten your seat belts": buddy, Mr. Executive Editor of the New York Times, if Trump wins a second term on a program of authoritarian consolidation and takes office equipped with executive impunity, yours and other news outlets' concern shouldn't be the White House, but safe houses.

My last babysitting job was during college - I babysat for an 11yo kid of a “returning student”, because it was illegal for her to leave him home alone. I did my homework, he did his, snd I tried not to bug him… or get offended when he was super-excited to turn 12 and be rid of me. 😏

The perfect time for Biden to resign, IMHO, is next February. Kick Trump to the curb, hold the party together, get inaugurated, and suddenly discover a deep need to spend more time with the family. That’s how we’ll get our first female President, because sexism. 🫤

Democratic messaging should be shifting from "Look up Project 2025" to "Learn *more about P2025". Partly bc the more you know about P2025, the more horrifying it is. Mostly bc the best political propaganda encourages ppl to find ways to invest further in things they know & ideas they already hold.

More on that “peace” agenda. Medvedev: “Even if Ukraine surrenders the territories we claim and renounces NATO aspirations in exchange for a peace deal, sooner or later we would still have to put the nail into the coffin of Ukrainian statehood and return the rest of the country’s lands to Russia”.

I recently applied for (but didn’t get considered) for a COO position with a small-becoming-midsize company. I thought that having built out multiple departments at a startup, followed by 20 years as an entrepreneur (including being in their field) might get me an interview. But no, I guess. 😒🤷‍♀️

Bad, but kids are stupid - they can learn past this (I hope). I've seen professional adults use chatgpt as a source (referenced and everything) because they "couldn't find this fact anywhere else". And then - because they're trusted professionals - other people cite *that* work, and...

My Solomonic view is that NYT—perhaps the president’s primary persecutor recently—showed its whole ass with this swiss-cheese Parkinson’s specialist story. It’s blatantly copied from right-wing charlatans, unvetted. And a nimbler White House and campaign would be making it pay dearly for that.
