Academic publishing is broooooookennnnn. Two of my current papers in two different journals. Should I have pulled paper A and moved on? Maybe, but I didn't. Paper B is in a high impact, high visibility journal that I would have expected a little more speed from, tbh.

Again: calling the cops on their students and staff was a choice, consciously made. It was one of many alternatives, and quite obviously the worst one. These presidents were not "forced" into anything; they rejected other available options (for which there were actual models!) and chose violence.

I would still wait until the rapid test is negative. PCRs - the ones a doctor administers that go to a lab - can stay positive for a while, but the 15 minute home tests are a reasonable proxy for infectiousness
