That one’s up there with Raven Guard primarch Corvus Corax – the literal scientific name for the common raven, from the Latin corvus (raven) and Greek corax (raven).

This is the editorial view of the guy who controls which posts get shown on Vichy Twitter and which get buried. Insane that journalists continue to use it as a source of information and contribute to its legitimacy

Oh, in all the other excitement I didn’t see that we’re getting a “second phase” of the Royal Commission into Covid-19 Lessons Learned, with terms of reference tailored to the conspiracist and anti-lockdown crowd and public hearings to help spread their nonsense. #kikorangi

I see some good ideas being suggested, but here's my entry: he can now *commercially* pirate music, since to really be criminal rather than civil, needs to be commercial. So he could set up the White House's official pirate streaming service. And no one could do anything.

I've debriefed NZ Police on sovereign citizen ideology, subscription, & narrative pathologies based on country-specific in-depth research that I don't know anyone else has conducted, since 2021. It's angering to have them now say "The content is more nuisance than any direct threat of anybody."

I have finally watched Jane Campion’s THE PIANO in the year 2024. Apart from some obligatory 1990s slow-motion at a key moment you would never guess it was thirty years old. Can’t think of many other movies from that time which don’t just hold up but seem entirely ageless

A few years ago, Jon Lovett floated a theory that media treats Democrats like protagonists - to be challenged, accounted, and forced to be behave in growth-oriented ways - while the GOP are treated like antagonists - immutable, expected to disrupt, thematic obstacles.
Thinking about that a lot.
