I don't want some egghead bureaucrat telling me whether there's poison in the water I drink. Ideally I'd want that decided by a 29yo judge who went to a "biblical law school" and does not believe dinosaurs existed, and then to have that decision reaffirmed six years later by the Supreme Court.

Quick reminder: Tobacco companies knew that cancer/other lung diseases were caused by smoking since the EARLY 1900s. It took almost 100 years for the lawsuits and the laws to catch up to them. We don't have 100 years to wait around for climate change to be a "settled fact" before it's too late.

No "immunity" ruling. Again. When Trump and his lawyers make the "legal" argument that Trump's above the law for life, and the judicial system's response isn't a quick "what, are you kidding, no," that alone is a big problem. When speed helps Trump, SCOTUS has ruled fast. When delay does, they wait.

Hah, once again, thank you for this. When Seti went down some major changes were made to FAH also (something something blah blah engine -- I'm not a programmer!) and long story short it didn't work on a lot of peeps' home systems. Will give it another shot! Also I still LOVE Electric Sheep.

Thanks for this! I DO miss the communality of SETI/Folding at Home. There was something very humane and engaging about the forums, being able to join teams, customizing the screensaver while it was computing, and so on. If they revived SETI/FAH I'd re-download it in a hot second.
