And this kind of thing is a big pain for me. Like, every year I write, edit, and otherwise handle documents for my university that need to be kept secure. I have to be careful that auto-saving to cloud services doesn't violate that, And I am far from the least tech-savvy colleague I know of.

Our school's year starts in April, so we go pretty deep into summer before a rather short break of less than 2 months. I'll be prepping next semester's classes and working on a research project, but also visiting a friend in Canada--my first time there.

Today I am saying goodbye to about 90 students. It's our last day of Thursday classes this semester. Next week will feature my last Tuesday, Wednesday (except for my grad-level writing course), and Friday classes, and I'll proctor exams for about a week. Lots of grading,but summer break almost here.

So I mean this is funny but also it's about the importance of the database in machine learning and how algorithms are very good at finding stuff in data you had no idea was there. ML algorithms just do "oh, correlation, let's use that instead of causation" all the time.
