Indeed. Thom's Brunch with Bernie every Friday was a revelation when I first heard it around 2006 on Air America. My mouth nearly dropped open at how unapologetically leftist Bernie was. I legit think Thom did a lot of work to help get Bernie's ideas pushed to a greater audience.

I would bet good money that at least one Democratic California state legislator will feign populism by saying we can't mandate A/C for prisoners because a lot of renters don't have it, and prisoners shouldn't have a better lifestyle than renters. This is not the own that they think it will be.
